Ñañy (aka Maria)    my recipes here

I am the youngest daughter of 8 brothers/sisters on my mother's side. Her father was a French merchant who immigrated to New York from Cherbourg, France in 1912.
My mother was born in New York City. She herself was the youngest of 14 brothers and sisters, so you could say I come from a large family.

Before Colorado, I lived in Minnesota, Florida, Massachusetts, and Puerto Rico. I miss the Caribbean-blue waters.

My professional background is in Computer Science (Bachelor's Degree) as a Database Analyst. I left my career behind so I could stay home and raise my children. When they were older, I returned to the workforce as a school ESOL aide. In Florida, I worked for the Cyesis high-school program for pregnant teens. I tutored them in various subjects; especially Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies, and supervised the "Lifetime Store" of community donations for the girls. I worked there 10 years and was awarded the "Employee of the Year" honor twice.

I enjoy exercising and running, reading romance novels, hiking with my husband and putting up with his tomfoolery, and baking. There's a link to my recipes here and at the bottom of each page.
